I was born in Southern California and I’ve also lived in the Bay Area and Maui, Hawaii. These beautiful locations are a part of me and their scenes are reflected in my work.  After an initial career in business I discovered that working in a creative environment feeds my soul.  Please come take a tour of my happy place - a messy, creative studio by the sea.

I strive to simplify my subject matter not only with the brush but with palette knives and other fun tools.  Abstracting what the eye sees is a common theme in my work.  Sometimes the hillside just wants to be blue rather than brown! Custom mixing colors and seeing their resulting juxtaposition on the canvas gives me a thrill every time.

I also enjoy partnering with designers and homeowners in making their spaces complete with artwork created especially for them.
